Default 1994 SE Headlight switch.

Hi guys,

Recently I bought a base 94 bonneville SE and its been great. However the other day my taillights started to come on intermitently after the car is off and also I noticed that the car chimes when the driver door is open like when you leave the headlights are on. Plus the instrument cluster lights will cut out when dimming. I have the standard **** style switch control. I have had similar problems in my olds wagon with a headlight switch so I figure this is the problem. But I have a few questions.

1) If I order a standard switch from Delco w/o the twilight sentinal and I end up having it can I still use the switch or are the plugs completely different? Or if I get one with the sentinal and then the car doesnt have it can I use that aswell?

2). How can I tell if I have twilight sentinal the lights have never come on by themselves but then again maybe its always been broken? I dont see any sensor in the dash and being a SE I doubt that I do.

Thanks in advance,

Joey.

If you have twilight sentinel, it will say right around the light switch. There will be wording on the dash. If you have no wording or white writing of any type, then you do not have the sentinel. I would replace with the same switch you currently have. The sentinel takes extra modules and sensors to work.
