The lights on my gear seltor switch do not light up. The first one lights up as I move the shifter betwenn park and nuetral. Is there a contact that can be adjusted and how do you get the clip out to remove the shifter handle :?:

If your car is like mine (92) the shifter **** (as Willwren informed me) is held on to the shaft by a "u" shaped metal clip. You pull it or pry it out of the slot on the front of the shaft underneath the **** and the **** slides right off.
