I don't give them enough credit to believe they can remove lights and sneak up on people with them. Did he have a problem with illuminating deer sneaking up on him before this?

Yes, that would be a problem. But as we see in your illustration, that odocoileus does not have HIDs. Your original statement stands uncorrected!

it might be to late now but i have the same truck, do you remember what wiring harness/adapter you used, and what bulbs with the ballasts
