Painted grill insert question

Default Painted grill insert question

I want to paint the honeycomb grill on my bonne(I'm thinking silver), if anyone else has done this what how did you set about doing it?

sounds pretty straight forward to me.
Remove- tape off what you dont want painted-prime-paint

It'* really that simple. I did it to mine, which is the same color car as yours, and I went with silver also. I suggest clearcoat, and make sure the paint you choose isn't indoor only (D'OH!). Anyways, good luck, if you have any questions go ahead and ask. It'* real straight forward. Hell, I had mine done before dark and I started it after school one day, including drying time.

by some spray paint at your local automotive center and clear coat it the paint doesnt dry to a gloss. remove the grill and tape the areas that you dont want paint on, wash with an sos pad and rinse off well then spray the color down in 1 or 2 coats or untill the color looks consistant, repeat with cleat if nessesary.

Note dont rush you paint let it "Flash off" between coats you will have better results aslo you do not need any primer

I painted mine up with touch up paint, same color as the car, i figured it looked pretty good considering most of it has now chipped off...
Use high quality paint, something that won't disintegrate befor your eyes lol

I'm going to add some mesh on mine, but not sure if I should paint it red or gold to match the car.

I would give gold a shot first, worse case scenario you put new mesh in pained red hehe
