Hmmm

What huds did the 98'* have? If they had radio station then you should be able to hook it up. If they didn't have ti built into their factory huds..then no.

I think...they use the same hud as my 97 and don't have any radio information normally.

yeah, this swap would basically be to say "hey, I swapped it in"

96-99 are all the same hud

To make it work, you'd need the radio, connections, and maybe PCM if it controls any of the data. You would NOT be able to have an aftermarket system in the car or you'd lose the radio display.

In my opionion, it'* not worth the trouble. the Unit itself is much larger and would require a lot of fabrication to get it to fit and look right.

But hey, let us know how it goes

The engine was gone when I got there

I planned on doing a HU swap later on down the road, so maybe this will be put in the circular file for the time being. This post has also made me realize that I'm not really getting much out of this, and also, every time I start the car, I'll have a big green "GP" staring at me

The radio data will definitely not work. The newer cars use a Class 2 data signal throughout the car which the older cars do not have. Unless you were to recreate the network (I have no idea how you would do that!) then it'* not gonna go...and I'm also assuming the '04 GP HUD is on the Class 2 network as well, so that is not going to work either....but check the pinouts for the heck of it.
