Default kind of a crazy idea

ok for ppl with cars like mine who have the giant cover on the engine. would it help the upper intake at all to run with the cover off? perhaps get a little air flowin over it? or am i just making no sense at all.also it would make the engine a little louder.and who doesnt want that?

I have my cover taken off on my car. Dont know if it helps any. But as far as making the enigne louder it has no affect.

Nope; won't make a darn bit of difference. For that matter, the cover isn't hard down on top of the manifold anyway, but "floats" slightly above it, on clips.

It doesn't affect noise output either, as the exhaust is not underneath that cover...
