I think you would need to get the base that goes with it, drill a hole in the hood for it, and adjust the base <Grinding, etc> to the angle of the hood. If it comes out how I picture it in my head, I can't approve the idea myself. We should call in some photoshop experts to make sure this is what you want in my opinion.

It would be neat to mount it, but I bet it won't stay there very long. Someone is bound to snap it off. New hood ornaments on luxury cars are spring hinged, which takes away the torque leverage for snapping it off; and usually tied into the car'* alarm system.

I say Mount it to the grill in the corner.
