Yudaman! I completely forgot about these guys. They are about 45 minutes from me and might be the foremost authorities on auto wheels in the US. I went through their entire catalog and still couldn't find it. But maybe they will accept the challenge to identify the wheels!

ebay/Paypal news update....

Dear Charles Mc,

We have concluded our investigation into your claim. We have decided in your favor and have recovered funds from the seller.....

Only 11 days since I filed, and I got the full amount back. We were waiting for my buddy'* response to the claim. He must have sent them something so inane, they wrapped it up and hit his bank account. I negged the guy and almost (ALMOST) felt bad. He must be completely whifty, or plain just doesn't get it.

BTW, I have 4 chandeliers for sale. They kinda' look like those wagonwheels with lights on 'em. 'Cept they look more like factory Bonneville gold laced wheels with lights on 'em.. Toolgirl fixed the lights to them. They look really sharp and are a gotta-have for your formal dining room or workshop.

Nothing ever goes this easy for me. The guy is probably an internet axe-murderer.... and he has my address.

congratulation on getting you money back!

I lost interest in this thread a long time ago, but were the cavalier wheels brought up as a possibility?

I'm so glad things worked out good for the good guy and bad for the bad guy for once. Maybe next time this guy will think twice before making up stuff, lying, and refusing to refund when he misrepresents an item. That is, if he'* ever allowed to do business on eBay again. That'* really awesome.

I think your best bet now is to just measure the wheel lug spacings, and we should be able to match it up from that, to find out what these things really are.

Also, just as an addendum, my favorite way to return things when people don't want to give me a refund is to throw them through their front windows or windshields. Not that you'll be returning these wheels, but if it were me and for some reason I was unable to recover the money, I'd have given some serious thought about returning them that way.

Really glad this worked out for you and this seller has some neg feedback to warn others.

The SOB negged me back. I expected that though. I was proud of my 100%, but 98.4% will have to do. It was a moral imperative to neg him.

I was up in Allentown today so i stopped at wheelcollision. Nice people and about a zillion wheels. The ebay wheels are cheap aftermarket gahbage. They had never seen them before, and they thought they were pretty flimsy. I thought maybe i could pick up a little extra on the back end if I identified a car that they would fit, but I'm not going to chance sticking it to somebody.

Quick plug since they helped me out. I don't know how their prices fit the market, but their reconditioned stuff looks pristine. It'* a serious business, too. I only know of body shops that do wheel work as an extra. These folks are wheels only, and rigged for heavy running.

So all in all, revenge feedback from a rat sucks, but Paypal did well. I got all of the money back and no service charge.
