There will be no bulb monitor problems unless a bulb goes bad during the swap.

You'll just have to spend a little more time routing the wiring across the bottom of the inside of the trunk lid, but that should be no problem.

You have no problem on the SLE. I however had issues with my SSEi and the lamp monitor cause one end has nothing connected to it. it tells me there is a tail light out all intermittantly. Seems like there is an issue with leaving the wires blank.

And he will have issues in that there is only one connector on the 96-99 whereas 92-95 have 2, one for each side. he'll have to make a splitter to do it. This might be ok for the lamp monitor, but not sure as it hasn't been tried.
