Default delco air ride

i just got an old delco air ride compressor and wanted to hook it up, somehow, to my rear shocks. Anyone know where the compressor mounts? trunk? hood? 57 star chief

If I remember, those old air compressors were a LOT bigger than the ones they used in late model Pontiacs. I'm pretty sure they were mounted under the hood (although I can't tell you exactly where). I'm sure the principle of the air shocks was basically the same. Tthere was a sensor mounted on the rear axle that detected the height of the car and turned the compressor on when the trunk was packed to the gills.
Do you have the tubing that brings the air back to the air shocks in the rear?

thanx...All I have now is an old compressor and pressure relay. I have a set of monroe air shocks in the back , you know the kind with the air valve, that i would like to connect to it. From what I have read, the original air ride systems were intro in 58 and were complicated, sensors and relays at every wheel.
