Default power window won't work

i have a 1982 Bonneville brougham with power windows. over the last few months the drivers side window got slower and slower to roll up and down. now it is stuck in the up position the weather around here is getting hot. is it possible to manually roll down if i take the door panel off and crank the pulley or do i have to remove the window motor?

Well, better that it'* stuck UP than DOWN!!!
All seriousness aside, there is no manuel overide for power windows. Your best bet would either have someone install a new motor or if you're really handy and have a few extra hours, you can replace the motor yourself. But it'* not a simple operation to do. Good Luck.
