Torx or TorxPlus bit for wheel bearing removal?
Hello Everyone,
I am changing the front wheel bearing on my 05 Cavalier (second time).
The car seems to use T55 Torx socket headed screws to secure the bearing to the carrier. The regular bits I have been using last only a few application.
The screw socket head is shallow and the fit is loose.
When looking for a replacement T55 bit there was a tantalizing note by one of the suppliers not to use the bit with TorxPlus screws!
So what type of screws does the car use, Torx or TorxPlus?
There is no info on it in the factory service manual.
Thanks, Peter

Post a picture of the bolt head and I call tell you which it is. Torx versus torx plus has more to do with bit slippage, and unless you are using an impact wrench, removing hub bolts should not affect one more than the other. What brand of bit are you purchasing?
