But the problem is, my headers are of the flange style, and the exhaust is setup for Hedman style headers. So, i'm going to have to cut the ball end off the exhaust, weld on a 2" piece at each end and then weld that to the collector piece.

would be alot easier. or if you stop by a performance shop "2.5inch header reducers" pretty popular and should be in stock

Yea, those are the pieces I was referring to.

I will need to cut the part circled in red off, then weld the reducer to the pipe.

thought you meant you were going to weld the collector to the pipe without the flanges
