Unhappy no spark

2005 chevy Equinox will not start, used an HEI spark tester and there was no spark, does the equinox have a ignition control module? have been told they do not, is it the coil pack or the crank position sensor?

If memory serves me correct, the ignition module and the three coils are all one unit.....

If it is the all in one unit(coils with integrated ICM), you basically check for power and ground, and also the trigger input from the PCM...if all ok, you need a new unit....
