well i contacted the dealer, they said it could be a faulty ignition switch if not the bcm, they do the job.

now someone told me about bypassing the VATS and all like WilliamE said, but dosnt that leave the car withouth protection? or will it still keep the alarm?

If you bypass VATS like I mentioned then your security system would not function.
I bet the dealer charges you like around 700.00 if it is the BCM, hopefully they charge less, but it sure won't be cheap.

There are two parts of the system, the ignition and the pcm fuel enable. You can have the car tuned and have the security removed. That'* the only way it'* really gone. The factory stuff is problematic at best and all the dealer will do is fix it.

Ahh, good point, I only know one guy in Venezuela, and he definitely does not tune cars, I totally overlooked where he was from.

well, i have seen dealer places that said they do elecntronic tune but i have never seen how they do it.

also i have a friend with another impala but 2005, that taked out the security system cause of a similar problem, but i really doubt he got the car tuned.

but since i doubt of every mechanic thing done here hahaha, what are they supposed to do when they tune the car?

Can you verify whether or not your key has the pellet/chip in the key?
See this link, does it look like key A or B?

Was hoping you'd get lucky and be able to use a wired in bypass, but the bypass I know of only works on Paskey II, you have Passkey III.

I am pretty sure your only option will be to have a dealer diagnose the problem, then replace the defective part, it will not be cheap to do though, expect to spend a few hundred bucks.
