Default How to find out if recall has been done

I recently bought a 2002 Impala and I think it has the original ignition switch. Weren't the Impalas in on the recall? This one is sloppy and with 8 keys on my key ring I'm concerned its going to shut the engine off.
If I turn the ignition back even the slightest it kills the engine. Something to be concerned about? How do I find out if there is a recall on it and if its already been done?

Go to any GM dealer and give them your VIN # and they can tell if there are any open campaigns on your vehicle.....only a Chevy dealer can do the recall, so it probably would be better if it was a Chevy dealer doing the search....

Within the first week of having my 02 Malibu GM sent me a recall notice about the ignition switch and I was wondering if they would for the Impala. Instead of waiting it probably would be smarter and faster if I contact them instead thanks TECH II
