As I stated, if you have a head gasket leak, normally it'* just the gasket that is replaced, not the head.....unless of course the vehicle was ru with low coolant and caused the head to warp.....

Replaced a lot of head gaskets in 2.2'*(not heads).......main thing was to remember to replace the head bolts.....

That'* what I was thinking: Maybe whoever did all of these replacements are reusing old bolts.

You always want to use new head bolts if they are TTY.

And some head bolts have thread sealer on them to prevent coolant passing by.
