i wouldnt buy the chinese version if you can get hpt for 500

oh ic ic i get it now so u reprogram the cars computer thats under the fender i had taken out of my sunfire i think thats what happened to this sunfire

car runs fine right but the anti theft light is always on but i swaped it from the sunfire into the cavilar but still car doesnt start so right now i have the sunfire computer in the cavliar and still nothing

so then i guessing the 3 key thing will not work cuz its stuck in perment anti theft mode as i even swaped out the key cylinder

now since these things are a sealed unit there is not spot on them to pull the chip out thats why i gotta send in the whole unit?

i guess there is no way i can get someone to send me the new program for this computer and i could upload it to the computer myself with the modified doesnt give to ***** about anti theft as i dont wanna take it to gm as you seen the ridiculus prices so im sure i be paying a grand
before my 13precent taxes

and do you have a website legit for the hpt for 500? cuz theres always scammers and does that work for all vehicle manufatures

so you have a computer from a different car in your car? you cant just swap pcms they have to be programed to your car and security

you will have to find someone who knows the software for specifics. i would just pay some one to program it and send it back. seems cheaper and simpler

If not I still have the guys e-mail I mentioned, I am betting he won't charge more than 100.00 plus return shipping, which would most likely be around 20.00, you pay to ship the PCM to him, should also be about 20.00, so I'd say for around no more than 150.00 you could have the problem fixed, it may take a few days back and forth, but you'd save a good bit of cash.
Unless you are going to learn to mod your car to add HP, and learn to tune, then I'd personally not pay so much for HPTuners.

as for the ECU the computer i guess u also called it the PCM thats located under the fender by the bumper its out of a sunfire i tried

as i took the key cylinder and the cars computer from the sunfire and it didtn work

so right now whats in the cavliar is the the black box that is behind the glove box whatever that is the computer from the bumper and the key cylinder with the sensor on the key


and both cars are 1997 2.2 engines they are the identical engine


worst case senerio i was going to drop the cavs 2.2 engine and put it in the sunfire and drive it since that anti theft is always on but it drives with it on


i wanted to program it myself but if i can get it done then get someone else to do it but i dont know anyone in canada as i gotta pay duty i guess? and custom fees

So, you are saying that the PCM that is currently installed is NOT the one that originally came with the car? If it is NOT the original PCM. THAT is your issue.

what you mean this is the problem the anti theft is been a problem since last year

this issue with the caviliar anti theft came on a year ago when i repalced the entire exhaust system on the cavliar and the cataylic converter turned red hot miss fired i replaced the cat twice and same turned red hot then anti theft came on later and car has never ran again, and this car only uses 1 02 sensor yet its setup for 2 as i had to plug off the cats 02 sensor but got told by a garage it was problably the coolant temperature sensor telling computer its -40 and puts more fuel in


so 2 months ago the 1997 sunfire blew timing chain so now i using its parts off it on the cav to try to get it running hence why i tried to swap the computers and the black box and the key cylinder

last year i bought the new rockies bypass pro module and that never worked

also when i bought this car it drove fine but the cat had a big hole in it so thats why i replaced the entire exhaust front to back with a new up stream 02 and then this crap happened after that
