its a 3.4. I believe they went back and forth between speed density system back then. short story is it may not have one. but 94 should have been back to the maf controlled. unless they had a half year deal and you have the early one. certainly wouldnt be the first time i heard of that.

back to the issue, do you have any codes? o2 sensors ever replaced? map?

I have not check for any codes. I did take it to the shop and they said it was the low coolant sensor. I replaced that but I knew that was going to help. And yes you were right... a 3.4! I must be dyslexic!
Anyway I have attached a photo. These are all the elec connections on the throttle body.
Which should I try to disconnect?

Must be a speed density engine. Trouble shooting obd1 is tough, with out the live data. But I'm going to guess the temp sensor for the pcm is bad. Only because it'* fairly common.

well I changed it and I can't tell any difference. you can smell the gas in the exhaust and it'* smoking really bad.
