Default 95 camaro intake gaskets

I have a coolant leak in my 95 Camaro with the 3800 series 2. It is leaking around the coolant elbow at the front of the manifold. On my Bonneville, I recently replaced the intake gaskets because of their tendency to leak after 150-200k km. Does the Camaro 3800 have the same problem? Should I just replace the elbow or the gaskets as well? It looks like it will be a lot more work on the camaro than it was on the bonneville.

Welcome to the world of the Series II 3800. Yes, all the problems the fellows have gone through with intake manifold leaks at the gaskets applies to your F-Body as well.
(The EGR pipe melting the composite manifold doesn't apply to you..your upper and lower manifolds are aluminum, but the basic problem of the lower gaskets comming apart and dumping coolant into the lifter valley applies)

Great! I have three cars with 3800 engines. This will be my second intake manifold gasket job. The bonneville was a snap, but the camaro is not going to be so pleasant. I wish I had an LT1 to swap with.

Well its off to the garage I go. Thanks for the help clm2112. (does that have anything to do with RUSH?)

No sweat. If you think about doing the LT1 swap on the F-Body, drop me a PM, been doing the same to my '94 3.4L Camaro.

And yes, it'* a reference to my favorite band. My ISP had most of the other variations of my name taken already, so I picked one that was unlikely to be in use...and stuck with it ever since.
