Default Intake Gaskets???? another question

I just went to change the oil in my 95 SSEI and found i was down a quart and a half...... Scared the liven hell out of me. Then I noticed oil all over the under carrage comming from the upper part of the engine. Further inspection ... looks like the intake manifold (lower) ... What the #$@@!@#$ is going on ? (thought to myself) Is this a common problem?? the engine has 75K on it... I have seen the other posts with coolant leaks but no one has ever mentioned an oil leak..... It'* off the road for the winter, thank god.. Got my old faithful 90 Lumina to see me thru. Will be doin plenty of mods this winter..... NNNNNaaaaaaazzzz

JSeabert has the same leak right now. His is minor. It'* not really going to be that big of a deal to fix. Just need the gaskets. He'* still driving his until then. This sounds a bit premature for yours, though. He'* running at almost 180000 miles now.

Just be glad you don't have to worry about the plastic intake!

Default Manifold Oil leak

Thanks for the info.... This is a great forum full of good ideas... And yeah the Lumina is a 3.1MPFI ... 190,000 and still running strong. Will be changing the gaskets this weekend...Looks like an easy job.. still need to use it before I start the Mods this winter... It'* easy to fall in love with this car!!!!
