I don't think it is a fuse, like I said I pulled the battery and left it off for a half hour. After I plugged it back up the car started shifting again. As for being stuck in 3rd I am not. I can manual shift it and it will still only go into 2nd gear. I never hit 3rd in it. I can shift up to 3rd and it just stays in 2nd. This is just my luck as I just had to do a motor swap in it thanks to an oil pump going bad.

All the stuff that never is supposed to happen, happens to this guy lol. I figure I can probably get it done in about 4 hours as I have had that motor and subframe up and down a few times already. Thanks for the info guys. Any other suggestions would be great.

I have the original transmission from my old motor that went to pieces. I figure since I am going to go through all the trouble of dropping the sub-frame, I am just going to swap my original trans in. I know it works and works well.

OK, you have 1st and 2nd, and I assume you have reverse. But you do not have 3rd and I will assume no 4th. I would check the 2-3 shift solenoid. When that solenoid is on you have park, reverse, neutral, 1st, and 2nd. When off you have 3rd and 4th. So it sounds like you have 2-3 on but it won't turn off. The 2-3 solenoid should have 19-24 ohms of resistance at 68f and 24-31 at 190f. You can test this between pins B and E on the transmission plug.

Dan.. have him check for a short on the ground pin coming from the pcm and at the trans connector for that soleniod.

Otherwise..it'* more common for the 3rd sprag to break and the 4th hub shaft to strip.
