have a 2000 chev cavalier 2.2l shut down while driving while trying yo fix it it blew the top of the air filter box off it starts but stops when spraying cleaner in it

I moved this into a new thread for better visibility & replies.

Sounds like while spraying in the cleaner it back fired, blowing the air box lid.
Get the ODD2 Codes read, use a fuel pressure gauge at the rail and see if you have good pressure.
Also check the fuel pressure regulator for gas leaking out.
Remove the hose going into the FPR does it smell like fuel in hose?

Is it always running rough before it stalls?

I changed fuel filter and pressure regulator no luck could it be the ckp sensor

Yes, but have you scanned for any codes? Is the check engine light on?
