maybe the smokey startup was nothing, i was cleaning my throttle body one time with the engine running and the rag got sucked in, the motor ran a lttle rough, finally the rag came out the exhaust pipe and all was well again
..and that'* the truth,

All of the Fel-PRO kits you guys are recommending are the exact same as the one from RockAuto for 48.79, I know because that is where I got my kit from, and it had everything shown in the Auto Zone Fel-PRO Kit, the only difference is the price.

The kit is also on amazon for 54.15 total shipped if you have Amazon Prime.

LA1, it is an aluminum framed gasket, not copper.


With the Fel-PRO kit you only need more o-rings for the fuel injectors if you remove them from the rail, but as a precautionary measure I ordered extras and used them.
