I think the transmission is getting ready to go on my wife'* SRX. Last week I took it on a road trip to Idaho and on the way back I noticed quite a few times it didn't want to shift into 5th after it had downshifted for a hill or to pass someone. I would have to activate the manual shift mode and paddle shift it into 5th. Then yesterday my wife and I were going out to lunch and through town it would have some very harsh downshifts when coming a stop. It hasn't set any DTCs and I was hoping someone who still worked for a dealer could check for some TSB on the issue. I'm hoping its just a software issue. I hate the idea of paying a dealer to reflash the ECM when I have access to a Tech II, I just don't have access to the SI2000 program GM uses to do software updates.
