Vacuum leak? Bad idle after first start of the day.
everyone who has a car after 96 should have access to or have their own code reader, even if you dont do your own work, it costs more to have the shops check your codes than to buy the reader. plus you cant trust those people to give you the right meaning and repair

I agree with you. I've wanted one since I moved away for school and had to make sure my vehicle was working properly. I'll probably pick up a cheap one now, and when I get some more money, get a better, more expensive one. I don't trust anyone I don't know to work on my car..especially not a mechanic who is being paid big money for every minute my car is in the shop.

Well, I solved my problem. It was a vacuum leak. The breather tube(?) was dislodged from the back of the motor. I must have done that while I was trying to fix the park neutral position switch. I fixed this last week, and it has been good since.
