USB port issues

Default USB port issues

USB port #1 of the "two" USB ports on my 2016 Buick LaCrosse stopped working abruptly. I used to be able to plug a cable into USB port #1 to charge my phone while listening to mp3 music stored on a flash drive plugged into USB port #2. However, now, I cannot charge my phone nor see any devices plugged into USB port #1. I have alternated the USB ports when using flash drives with no issues in the past and also used each port to charge my phone.

The radio seems to be fine.. except now I seem to have one "dead" USB port. After reading some of the info on this forum, it appears the fix is not as simple as just changing a fuse. Has anyone had a similar experience and, if so, what was the solution for getting the one bad USB port working again?

I'd bet it'* toast, and will need the head unit replaced in order to repair. It doesn't look like this happens too often out on the interweb. With a car this new I'd say take it to the dealership and see if they have a way to diagnose.

I think you have a 4yr/50K bumper to bumper warranty......if under 50K get it to the dealership.....
