Default trunk ajar light

i have a 93 buick park ave and i changed out the trunk motor and now the trunk ajar light stays on when the car is turned off.does anyone know an easy way to turn the light off? i dont need it so if theres certain wire to cut or unplug ill do it.

Your motor is the same one as mine, you need to remove the latching part, and screw it in a few more turns, your trunk is not closing down far enough, which can also allow water to bypass the trunk seal, I know from experience with my 96 PA.
