I've got a 97 SSEi and at about 70mph the hood ajar light starts coming on and off. What controls this light? I found a black button in the front left [driver side] under the hood is this it? Should the light come on with the hood up sitting still and motor running, it doesn't Does anybody have a wiring diagram Thanks for the help

Sounds like you found the button. Either find a way to tighten the hood latch, or undo the wiring from the switch, like I did.

Or replace the switch or adjust the hood. Find out WHY it'* coming on .
Open the hood and have someone press it. How far down does it have to go before it goes off ? Try putting a short piece of hose over the tip to extend the button a little.
