Did this immediately happen after the rebuild? If yes, I think you already know my answer......these are two separate problems.....certainly something that should have been checked out before giving it back to the customer........

If it happened later, it could be a wiring harness problem......

Well, you didn't answer my questions.....but, if this is a "reputable" transmission shop, it will be very simple for them to attach a test harness to the harness going into the tranny, and with a scan tool check out the circuits.....if it checks out, they know it'* an internal problem....like I said, these are two separate problems.....no one can tell you what was installed in the rebuild, except the shop....if they are a good shop, they won't drop the ball a second time.....

yes I have seen a tester they have they can hook it up to the transmission throw switches to make it shift and so on
I been threw this before on a 1991 Taurus
yea hook up the machine and it works
but on the Taurus they put some wrong part on that the PCM could not talk to for the year
so I my question is is there changes to the switches they could have put in like the pressure sensor in '03 that was changed
that the PCM cant talk to causing the proplem
hooking up there machine by passes the PCM
so if a wrong part for the year was installed is what I am thinking
so do you know what changes were made in the valve body switches
past 2001
I have read other parts saying there was changes
any one out there have the wiring from the trans to PCM so I can check it pin to pin ??
thanks all of you guys

Are you saying, they did not go for a test drive with a scan tool attached?

This would have told them, if the TCC was being commanded on, and if it locked the torque converter.....

Also the pressure switches would have sent a signal to see if they matched the P/N switch positions....

No test drive? Then if the codes were not cleared, you can check the history of the code to see how many times it has happened, and if it only happened after the rebuild....

All started after they rebuilt it.

No codes before rebuild i have a scanner.

So do any one have a wire chart of the trans pin to pin?
