Did you just change out the elbow, if not trash that plastic one and go with this...
Amazon Amazon

Also AC Delco sells O-Rigs that fit both plastic and metal, they are the best to use, I'd have to search for their part number though..

Let'* try to keep separate issues separate though, was this post meant to be somewhere else?

I posted about the elbow problem here because it was a continuation of my intake repair. Didn't know if I should make new post. I guess I should have started a new thread. Should I start a new thread now or just leave it here? Thanks WilliamE.
I changed from the plastic to the Dorman metal ones about 5 or 10 thousand miles ago and it started leaking just like the plastic one.
I will try an get an AC Delco O ring and see if it fits any better.

Your fine I suppose, unless you want to elaborate more on your issues and repairs.
Found that old info of mine...'

ACDELCO Part # 1534066 should fit all 3 but the bigger parts on the elbows, I just went with the Dorman purple one for that big o ring, and so far no leaks...

Metal elbow is a good thing, but if it has been in a while, the gasket will swell. Instead of trying to find a gasket that'* just right, just go grab new elbows that come with new gaskets.

thanks for the tip.
that is what I did. It was still a little loose but not much. might just be me worrying.
I did put some of the gasket sealer that came with the intake gaskets around it and it seems fine.
thanks to everyone who gave advice.
