I forgot to mention that when i replaced the pcv i took off the oil filler cap and there was no vacuum

So, the pcv valve fixed the vacuum issue. Does it run exactly the same? With a P0300 there should be at least two other misfire codes with it. Be nice to know which cylinders are doing the misfiring.

The scan tool i used from oreillys only gave me the p0300, i asked if it could give me a specific cylinder and they said that the car was too old for the scan tool to give me any cylinder, I will start with new spark plug wires, I think it could also be one of the coils or the ICM

found website called easyautodiagnostics.com, I went through the step by step procedure that was outlined and it was the ignition control module was bad, got a new one from NAPA and we are on the road again, thank you for all your help
