Next project - Brake system overhaul. Will be getting a new master cylinder, pads, vented rotors and calipers + new brake lines all the way around.. and I'll fix that wobble in the tilt wheel

Great news man, glad it runs good now!
Thanks for updating us on how it went!

I am with Justin, you got lucky getting the cat, they are worth quite a bit due to the catalyst they use on the ceramic honeycombs, which is platinum and palladium..

I had similar symptoms on my '87, it turned out to be the harmonic balancer was bad, basically the bolts that hold it together were the only thing running my entire belt drive... And the play in the balancer threw the crankshaft sensor codes off, so basically I ran rich for a long time unknowingly and toasted my catalytic converter. I had the same throttle issues and bogging down, until I cut the cat off. Yee-haw! LOL

throttle position sensor sounds to be the issue.test it with a digital multimeter and slowly open the throttle and watch for an increase in voltage. at w.o.t check to see if it shows an open on the meter.

New to the site. Probably already figured out the problem. When the vehicle is not in drive the rev limiter will govern out at 3,000 rpm. Normal

My '91 Lesabre has no rev limiter. Turned out to be the fuel pump, had an intermittent issue. I have corrected it.
