He was a GM mechanic for 30 years, soon as I told him thumping sound in back he went straight to trunk lifted carpet and there it was. He has used the 2x4 before for a stopgap. Not sure what his method would be to keep 2x4'* from moving but that was one of his suggestions. Said welding gonna be pretty expensive.I Paid $1300 for car and he checked out engine and liked what he saw. Big fan of 3800. Hate to let it go or take little to nothing for it cause of strut rust through.
