On GM rear springs listings I see "for F suspension" or "for H suspension.. What does the "F" and the "H" stand for???

The color on the tag, that is on the spring, is a creamy light yellow.. One site claims that the color on the tag can tell you what kind of ride that spring is designed for.. Educate me please, in reference to Buick suspensions that is.. Thank You in advance..

GM used letters preceded by numbers for their RPO'* (regular production options), e.g. L was for motors, M for transmissions, F for suspension. I have the codes imbedded in my memeory on my old 71 chevelle which has L48 (270hp turbofire), M20 (wide-ratio 4 spd) F41 (heavy duty suspension) and Z-15 (SS). I really don't give much thought to the grocery getter car RPO'* but you will find them on your build sheet or under the spare tire cover.

Thanks but I am familiar with the RPO codes and have a build sheet for the car.. This still doesn't identify the above springs that I have in a box.. But thank you for your help anyway.

Could be a thought but if, for example, you go to a GM online parts supplier and list your make model and engine type and look for rear coil springs you will see "F" or "H" listed on some of them even though it is all for the same type of car.. Sorry, I thought that for all the rebuilding and deep interest one sees here on this board that I figured that the individual "RPO" code'* themselves would have been deciphered by now.. Yes I do know that some of them have been figured out already, just not the coil spring codes I guess.
