Ok heres what I did, I bought a new purge valve and checked the old one with the car running, no noise no suction nothing. Installed the new one, clicks like a son of a gun and draws suction. I then disconnected the wire and plugged in the old one again NOTHING.

Replugged in the new one, clicking away and constant suction on the canister line.

In most (if not all) states it is illegal to get gas without turning engine off because of the very real fire danger.

This thread reads like a sad comedy.
