Im baccccckkkkk!!!!!

Ok I notice that when the car is running and I remove the gas cap there seems to be tons of pressure there, when its not running I dont notice it as much.

I looked under the car and I see a square box about 10" x 6" next to the fuel filter, is this the cannster ?? I dont see one under the hood.

Now should I keep driving it this way, if this keeps building pressure wont it blow the tank or something.

There has to be a way to find out the problem

Thank you

Yes, that is the canister.

Don't worry, your not going to blow up the tank. Are you sure it'* pressure and not vacuum?

Nope its pressure, I opened it tonight at Home Depot parking lot and it blew a flume of vapor out of the tank and it seemed to last for like 5 seconds..The car was running

I wonder what is making it do that ?? Seems like a gas odor somtimes too

Man when do you sleep ??? Lol

Thanks

Sleep, I don't sleep. I'll poke around and see if I can find anything.

I poked around and what I can see, there is a pressure valve on the tank, and that then goes threw the canister. If that charcoal has turned to rock then it wont vent, and just build up pressure.

I'm believing that cannister needs to be replaced. I'm sure that gasoline got sucked in and slurred the charcoal and now it'* either one big block or the slurry has blocked off the vents.
