Ok, me thinks you might have installed it incorrectly. And by golly, I'd be darned if I could remember the sequence. It just doesn't plop right in the slot. You have to rotate the whole TPS in one direction, then push it onto the TB, and rotate it back to where the screw holes line up. Reconnect wires. start it up. If it immediatley revs high, shut it off, remove 2 screws and this time rotate it in the other direction and put back on. See what I mean?

Ok I will give that a try! I very well could have put it back in wrong. How do I clear the code? I also have installed a gm 195 t-stat. The temp stays at 205 fairly constant, which puzzles me, since the old hung dead on 195. Plus it was only 70 degrees today. You really can't install the T-stat wrong can you?

The code will clear itself after X number of completed test cycles. Depending on the sensor it could be 50 starts. Or, go back to Autozone, have them scan/clear the codes for you.

Me thinks if you installed a t-stat upside down, it would constantly cool due to the pressure pushing the t-stat open. Are you sure the t-stat you got said 195 on it?
