118 miles divided by 6 gallons = 19.7 miles per gallon. I would say that it pretty standard for mixed city/highway driving with AC running.

Re: premium gasoline, it'* a waste of money for an engine that doesn't require the higher combustion ratio. For instance, the aluminum block Northstar engines used by Cadillac and Oldsmobile suggested premium 91+ octane for those engines. I owned an Oldsmobile Aurora with that requirement, and usually used 89-90 midgrade with no problems... the knock sensors adjusted properly to take care of the rest. Now, my Buick manual says use at least 87 octane for the 3800-II V6, so that'* what it gets!

i have come across a few people who see 40psi on the tire and thats what they put in. you want to go by the sticker. sometimes you can go a couple over for better mileage but not 5

seems normal. im not sure where " dmv" is but if it was at high altitude, that could be why you are using more gas now. more air=more gas. i have a park ave, and on my 50 mile daily commute using 90% roads under 50mph, i get 20mpg max.

another factor that could cause a change, is where you used to live the gas might have been non ethanol. in florida ( most of the country actually) they use an ethanol blend... up to 10%. this is literally watering down your gas. causing it to burn faster.

I'd have to look at my tires, pretty sure mine call for 32 psi, but I always get them around 35 psi, if yours say 32 psi as well I'd let a little air out till they are around 35 psi, not sure that is going to give you better gas mileage, just suggesting this because I cannot see any good reason to over-inflate your tires that much.

Sooo wait a sec, my tires should be at about 32-35 psi when cold?
I hav my tires inflated to about 50psi, tht could explain how come the rides so bumpy.. Lol, im gona fix that in the morning!

It depends, my tires say 32 PSI on the side, read the side of the tire and look for the MAX PSI listed on them, and to be safe I'd not go much over what is listed, if it is 32 PSI then I'd go 35 PSI MAX.

There is a sticker inside your door jam that lists the recommended tire pressures your model.

What you see for a MAX psi on the tire is what the tire mfr says not to exceed. And yes, rock hard tires will make a ride very bumpy.

Also i dont kno wat i was thinkng. I have 1 used tire that says max air pressure is 51psi. All the other tires say max air pressure is 40psi.. Bad doings on my part. & to wonder why i have slow leaks. Time for new tires i bet.

certainly not the first time i have heard that. my uncle, who i would consider very intelligent, did it to everything. i took his quad for a ride and it rode like the old solid suspended 3 wheelers, and got to looking at it and he 20-30psi in it and its supposed to be 5. thats what it said on the side.
