i found a guy that rebuilds these transmissions for 950, thats with fluids and just taking him the car. he said he does so many he can do it in his sleep. that would be a neat trick but anyway, if you can get a block for 100 and spend another hundred on gaskets even if you have to spend another thousand on a trans you are not going to find anything as reliable as the one you fixed up for 1200
