Default Lower Controle arm

hi, i have a 2006 buick lacrosse 3.8L

i want to change my driver lower controle arm, is it a simple loosen bolts and put the new one on, is the shocks in the way do they need to be compressed or anything to change the arm,

Once jacked up and supported at the sub frame, the strut will be fully extended. Remove the wheel. Then remove the tie rod end for the steering. Remove the castle nut on the lower ball joint. Separate there. You will need to remove the lower strut mount, and disconnect where it attaches to the sub frame. You will need to get a alignment done after your done.
