Question instrument light electrical problem 2005 LeSabre

i have owned this 2005 Lesabre for just a few weeks--some odd quirks, such as the right half of the heater/fan/ac controls does not light up, neither do the little indicator lights for cruise control/radio on the steering wheel. Husband checked the fuses, that did not fix the problem. Also the left front parking light won't light. He went to change the bulb and found there was corrosion. (left blinker works, but not parking light).
This car has a Viper auto start which previous owner had installed by the local Gm dealer. I somehow think this could be part of the problem, because the other night I happened to grab the original Buick keyfob instead of the Viper fob, and I noticed that the cruise control indicator light on the steering wheel was all of a sudden working...just for that one time. ??
I explained the problems to the service person at the dealer, and she said it would probably be $275 just to go in there and find out what is wrong. Any ideas, anyone? thanks

That'* odd. I would start by checking all the grounds. make sure all the wire connections are good. Clean any corrosion.
