That'* cool! I want one. Can you take pictures of this device and get manufacturer and model info?

That they acknowledge the problem at all is a HUGE first step. We've seen many of these oddball obscure tedious intermittent issues drag on forever getting nowhere like a ping pong ball.

Wow that'* good news. Is the warranty 5 years/50,000 miles or something?

I don't think Brakes and ABS are covered under Powertrain:

Drive Systems
All internally lubricated parts, final-drive housings, axle shafts and bearings, constant velocity joints, propeller shafts and universal joints. All mounts, supports, seals and gaskets as well as any electrical components internal to the drive axle. Also covered are any actuators directly connected to the drive axle (i.e., front differential actuator). Exclusions: Excluded from the powertrain coverage are all wheel bearings, drive wheel front and rear hub bearings, locking hubs, drive system cooling, lines, hoses, radiator, sensors, wiring and electrical connectors related to drive systems as well as any drive system control module and/or module programming.

So to me, any sensors, wire harnesses, ABS modules, etc., are NOT covered

Hopefully they are acting on some other coverage, doing the right thing, or pure curiosity. Either way it looks like they have opted to take some responsibility for the issue and at least SamMcNeiland has that to hold on to. Hopefully they don't change their mind.

Cudos to Catherdal Cub who "nailed it" with respect to diagnosing the issue causing the brakes to grab. Took to dealer and they got two error codes, a P0299 as well as the C1100 error code that I had received from OnStar previously. The problem was the brake booster that had a vacuum leak which is exactly what Catherdal Cub thought it was from the beginning.

Again, thanks to everyone that helped me with this issue .......especially Catherdal Cub who "NAILED IT"..

Wow cool, thanks for letting us know how it turned out. I was totally thinking long shot on the brake booster but it fit in the twisted troubleshooting tree in my head. Glad to hear the new cars still have old car problems too.
