Hard to break a spindle without bending everything next to it on pretty much any car sold in the U.*. in the last 70 years. I bet something is bent or cracked underneath, probably badly, and the car shouldn't be driven until this is repaired.

What kind of car is this?

What kind of rim was smashed between the median and the broken spindle?

How fast were you hydroplaning when you hit the median?

What angle was the car at in relation to the median when it hit?

What was the construction of the median?

I was thinking underbody mount points are half sheared off or something.
