Buick Electra v8 430cid bearings
Block came back and spins so damn nicely. 660euros for everything including assembly. Now its like walk in the park to slap that thing together when i get the heads back.
Im also repairing Mitsubishi Legnum vr4 2.5 v6 twin turbo from 2001 that i bought. It had auto tranny gone boom. Was so cheap car so i had to buy it.

Ok, heads should be back soon so i can finally continue with the build. The guy that works on them was sick for a while so little delay on that..
But maybe soon i get to slap that thing together. This corona virus thing shut the doors of my school so i have plenty of time to work on my projects. Legnum is running and driving, VW Caddy pickup is working, but transmission broke and needs a swap. And one Mercedes van needs motor swapped because crankshaft broke in half

Cool!
Yep, never seen or heard of anything like this, let alone the scale of it.
What'* a "Legnum" ?
"VW Caddy pickup" ??
That'd sure make it run worse. Did it have a million miles on it or something?

Mitsubishi Legnum 2,5 VR4 Twinturbo 2001
Im pretty sure its called Volkswagen Rabbit pickup in USA
Mercedes has 477000 kilometres on the clock. Engine type is OM646 which has crankshaft and crankshaft bearing problems. Especially if you use big gears and low rpm, huge load kills these little engines. Im waiting for flywheel bolts to finish this project..
Ah, we call this a Galant. I'd never heard the name "Legnum" before.
Now that you mention this, I vaguely remember hearing the name Caddy applied to a little pickup somewhere overseas. When I asked, I was thinking of some combination of a VW and a Cadillac.
I love it, known for crankshaft and bearing "problems" and still goes almost 300,000 miles before failing, and probably not an easy 300,000 miles.

Its Galant in Finland too but this is imported JDM car so right hand steering and powerful engine. If you find vr4 galant in Finland, it costs a lot..
I am mercedes-guy all the way but american cars are awesome for hobby/summer cars.
I have two w202 c-class cars, other has 733000 km and the other one has 507000 km and not a single problem..
