Torque Converter Clutch. It'* essentially a clutch pack within the torque converter that locks the input and output of the torque converter together so that you aren't losing power through fluid slip.

I took out the #4 to check it out and found some hairline cracks of the ceramic insulator, even though i was getting good spark, i will get some ac delco iridium plugs and replace all of the others and see what that does

I installed the new AC/Delco iridium plugs and it runs great, check engine light went off as well. thanks once again to rjolly87 for the info about the E3 plugs not holding up on the 3800 engines
