So I am aware the immense amount of problems people have had with these cars and the auto climate box, but couldn't find a post with my exact problem, so thought I'd ask if anyone knows what is my exact issue before I go tearing the car apart.

My air adjusts temperature correctly both sides of the car, whether I set the passenger side to match the driver or different, they adjust accordingly. My issue(*) is that right now the air will only come out of the dash vents, won't go to the floor or the defrost. I also can't get the system to recirculate the air. I can deal with the heat only from the dash, but not being able to recirc the A/C now that its summer is my main issue I want to solve. Does the blend door also control recirc, or is that more likely an issue with the climate control module itself?

If I have it set to auto, and shut the car off, when I turn it back on, the auto button is still lit up, but nothing happens. I have to press the off button then the auto button for it to function again. The automatic system does slow the fan down correctly as the car comes to set temp, but pressing any of the buttons other than the fan speed or temp setting don't do anything. Pushing the recirc button doesn't change anything, nor does pushing the vent button.
