Default Lift gate emergency release?

It happened she parked the Buick in front of a parking garage concrete support column. When she came back a few days later the battery was almost dead. She'd moved stuff in search of jumper cables which there were none. While in the back already having crawled over everything she thought I'll just locate the inside Emergency lever to get out. Never found one. Am I to believe in this day and age there isn't a straight forward release lever?? I've been looking at the latch and for the life of me I don't see one.

Is this in the 2017 Enclave in your profile?

If so then: Yes this is true. This is a cargo area attached to the passenger area, so it doesn't need an emergency escape latch.

Besides, the latch is electric on this car, so with a dead battery it would not work anyways.
