Thank you so much guys!! I'm also going to invest in the GM repair book as well. I'm going to the auto-zone first thing Monday.

I'd not waste your money on the Haynes repair manuals they sell, an actual GM Factory Service Manual is much better!

I am not a mechanic nor an electrician but I found it easy to do. I didn't mean tp ruffle feathers , sorry

soldering is sort of like welding. its about practice, someone can show you what to do but you just need to do it a bunch of times to figure out what work and what doesnt. and in this case there is no harm in seeing if you can do it yourself if you plan to buy another one anyway, why not, if it works you saved some money. if anybody wants somew tips i would be happy to post that
