Dashlights don't come on or are very weak. Have checked fuses. Headlights will also be week then suddenly just brighten up. any suggestions?

Sounds like a ground issue. Clean every ground you can find. Engine, frame and body.

How do the dash lights compare to the radio and hvac control head illumination, when the dimmer is moved?

As for the headlights, it'* normal for then to dim somewhat at idle, and then brighten as you rev the engine up to go.....

But as suggested, I would check all ground connections, and also battery connections(for corrosion).....

Also check battery(how old?), and charging system, under a load with the engine warm.....

Had battery checked and it was bad. Replaced it and dashlights now work as they should. Thanks for the reply!
